Will Cooper is a Partner at Conrad|Metlitzky|Kane. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation and internal investigations, with an emphasis on emerging technology sectors such as the blockchain and platform economies.

Drawing on diverse experience representing Fortune 100 companies, startups, public entities, and individuals, Will guides clients through every stage of litigation. He has taken and defended depositions, drafted and argued critical motions, examined key trial witnesses, and defended judgments on appeal. He also conducts corporate investigations and represents witnesses in government investigations. His pro bono practice has included suing to enforce California’s pro-immigrant laws, co-counseling with a federal public defender, and writing amicus briefs for academics and nonprofits.

Before joining the firm, Will practiced at MoloLamken LLP, a leading litigation boutique in Washington, D.C. There, he drafted numerous Supreme Court and appellate briefs and argued a federal appeal securing the complete reversal of a summary judgment against his client. His trial-level practice ranged from multibillion-dollar financial products litigation to arbitral award enforcement. Previously, Will served as a law clerk to the Honorable Stephen A. Higginson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Honorable Christina A. Snyder of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Will earned his law degree from Stanford, where he was Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Environmental Law Journal and a member of the Environmental Law Clinic. He grew up in Virginia and lives in San Francisco with his wife, daughter, and Labrador Retriever.
